Widespread work stoppages brought much of Finland's transport sector to a halt on Friday. Many shops, offices and factories closed their doors, at least temporarily. An estimated 30-thousand people gathered in Helsinki to protest against the government's proposed restrictions of workers' pay and benefits. Despite a brief confrontation between police and anarchists nearby, the demonstration passed off peacefully. Reporter: Mark B. Odom, Camera: Mikko Koski, Editing: Rasmus Flinck
